Mercy Gospel Reflection: Oct 16

Gospel Reflections for Married Couples

16 October  – 29th Sunday in Ordinary Time

In this week’s Gospel, Jesus shares with us the story of the widow and the corrupt judge. Despite the hardness of the judge’s heart the widow persists until her request is heard.

Reflect on your own marriage.

Are there times when your marriage reflects the relationship between the widow and the corrupt judge?

How could you open your heart more this week to your spouse’s needs?

Instead of being closed off to their requests, how might you respond in tenderness?
