Gospel Reflections for Married Couples

31 July – 18th Sunday in Ordinary Time

In this week’s Gospel, Jesus reminds us to “watch, and be on your guard against avarice of any kind, for a man’s life is not made secure by what he owns, even when he has more than he needs.”

Sometimes in marriage we can let other priorities take over; paying down the mortgage, educating our children, investing for the future.

Take time today to reflect on the importance of your marriage in comparison to other competing priorities in your life.

Is a reshuffle of priorities needed?
